NCHSAA / DragonFly Registration

If joining the NCHSAA for the first time, your sports fee may be waived (not insurance). This incentive is available only for first-time members to the NCHSAA, and not those starting a new sport.

To have the fee waived, begin your registration process, and complete the demographic section to the point of payment.  After doing so, contact Todd Mason at the provided phone number (828) 508-5745).  Once the fee has been waived you can then sign-in to complete payment and registration. 

1. Click on the following to register:  NCHSAA / DragonFly

2. Create your account. Enter your email address and create a personal password. 

3. Select your role as Contest Official.

4. Select your State (NC), your State Association (NCHSAA), and your Sport (baseball, softball, basketball, football).

5. Select your Regional Supervisor (Todd Mason, baseball, softball, basketball / Bruce McCauley, football) / Local Association (Southwestern Officials) for each sport you officiate.

6. One of the requirements for becoming an eligible official includes a background check, which the vendor cannot conduct without a social security number (SSN).  Anyone authorized to work in the United States should have an SSN or be able to apply for one.  

7. Select Fee – Insurance and Background Check Fee – this annual fee covers your Insurance and Background Check Fees for this entire school year.

8. Select Fee – Your Sport Official Registration Fee – the total will be calculated in the pop-up box, then enter your credit card information and complete the payment process.

When you enter and submit your credit card information in the payment pop-up box, you will receive an email receipt from DragonFly.
